The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships Adelaide 2025 marked the 100 days to go milestone in Rundle Mallwith a ‘mystery box’. Olympic gold medallist and event ambassador Kerri Pottharst along with Volleyball Australia CEO Andrew Dee opened the doors to release 300 beach volleyballs in a much anticipated and spectacular reveal which was featured on many news outlets.
Lets set the scene… Over night a large freight box drops onto a large sand pit in the middle of Rundle Mall. Shopper spend they next day wondering what could be inside this mysterious box? At midday crowds surround the site, hype created from the MC and tunes as the countdown starts, “5…4…3…2…1…lets go!” The doors are opened and balls flood out covering the sandpit. Shoppers line up for there chance to meet Kerri Pottharst and recieve a free volleyball from our Activation Ambassadors.
